Sara Hsu, Visiting Scholar, will travel to China.
I’m leaving for China in two weeks to meet with leaders in Ningxia province, a poor, underdeveloped region, to discuss performing a survey and implementing a website in minority Hui villages. The website will allow rural residents to sell goods via the internet, expanding commercial networks. If the project is successful, it will be replicated in other parts of China. The survey element of the project is being coordinated with a survey in Sichuan province performed by Princeton University.
