Global Fellows

The IC² Institute's Global Fellows Program is a global community of creative and innovative leaders from academia, business, and government. IC² founding director, Dr. George Kozmetsky, inducted the first fellows into this education, research, and know-how network in 1977. Over the years the network has grown to include about 160 active global fellows from eighteen nations including eighteen faculty members of The University of Texas at Austin who are endowed by the Institute.

IC² Fellows are the intellectual center of the Institute's transdisciplinary "Think and Do" tank. Fellows include emerging scholars and experts in such areas as econometrics, marketing, business strategy, regional economic development, operations research, organization behavior, technology transfer and commercialization, chaos theory, creative and innovative management, alliance building, and entrepreneurship. Many focus important aspects of their scholarly activities in critical challenges confronting the world in areas of wealth creation and prosperity sharing.

IC² Fellows contribute to the Institute through a broad range of activities as they:

  • Participate in IC² affiliated national and international research and consulting projects
  • Teach in IC²'s Master of Science in Technology Commercialization degree program
  • Mentor companies in IC²'s Austin Technology Incubator and Global Business Accelerator
  • Organize and participate in Institute-affiliated conferences, seminars, and workshops worldwide
  • Contribute to Institute publications including books, monographs, journal articles, and the IC² Institute's working paper series
