Sr. Program Coordinator -

Marie Warden has many years of experience in financial analysis and cost accounting, having managed the finances and operations for a wide variety of organizations including public institutions, startup companies, and business incubators. She combines this deep financial expertise with experience coordinating, implementing, marketing, and overseeing programs, projects, and special events to bring a unique focus and insight to every task.

Ms. Warden currently serves as Sr. Program Coordinator for IC²’s Global Commercialization Group. She coordinates and implements projects related to new proposals, products, and partner development for GCG.

Prior to rejoining IC², Marie was with Triton Ventures, LLC an Austin, Texas-based venture capital fund specializing in high technology spin-off companies and other promising startups.

Previous to the joining Triton, Marie was the first Director of Marketing for IC² Institute at The University of Texas at Austin; Mrs. Warden was associated with IC² Institute for over nine years. She directed the marketing activities of all the programs that IC² sponsors. These programs include the Austin Technology Incubator, Austin Multimedia Incubator, EnterTech™ Project, Executive Education and Non-Degree, Global Programs and Activities, and the Master of Science in Science and Technology Commercialization Degree Program (MSSTC). Under Marie’s direction, strategic marketing development was enhanced resulting in a major increase in student applications for the MSSTC degree program. Mrs. Warden established a liaison with the Ex-Student’s Association of The University of Texas designed to market the MSSTC degree program. In addition, Marie has nurtured relationships with the Austin high tech community.

Preceding the marketing position, Marie assisted in the commercialization activities of IC²’s internationally acclaimed Austin Technology Incubator for seven years. Mrs. Warden’s entrepreneurial talents were utilized in assisting emerging growth companies.

She was also active in the early stages of growth for the Austin Software Council (Austin Technology Council). Marie was co-founder of several successful businesses, including retail sales, leasing and financial consulting in North Texas.

Mrs. Warden, a native Austinite, holds a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University. She served on the advisory board of the Austin Chapter of Women in Technology International (WITI), was a founding board member of AWTAustin and also on the board of the Lone Star Girl Scout Council.

Gardening and exploring the “back roads of Texas—especially uninhabited spots on the beaches” are her favorite pastimes.
