The INVITE Technology Commercialization Program Announces Exceptional Achievements  Monterrey, Mexico, September 17, 2007: A recognition ceremony and press conference was hosted today by Governor González Paras, Governor of Nuevo León, Mexico, at the Governor’s Palace in downtown Monterrey, Mexico. Innovators of the 20 technologies, and 4 commercialization professionals accepted into the INVITE Technology Commercialization Program 2006-2007, were honored for their achievements during the 10 month program. The program provided direct benefits to the innovators of the 20 selected technologies and their organizations and companies; and to the 4 commercialization professionals selected for special training, and the institutions in which they work. All 20 of the technologies moved closer to achieving their commercial potential through the program. For 9 technologies commercial contracts are currently under negotiation. Dr. Juan Sanchez, Vice President of Research at The University of Texas at Austin, addressed the ceremony to thank Governor Gonzalez Paras, the INVITE organization, and the program participants.
