Official Transcripts

By mail, send to:
Graduate & International Admissions Center (GIAC)
The University of Texas at Austin
P.O. Box 7608
Austin, TX 78713-7608

Electronically:
Institutions that are on the Texas Electronic Transcript Network or which use the national ANSI ASC X12 transcript format (SPEEDE) can provide electronic transcripts which will result in faster processing time.

  • An official copy of the academic transcript is required from every senior college attended.
  • Transcripts from junior colleges and community colleges are not required.
  • Unofficial copies and photocopies of transcripts are not acceptable.
  • Former UT Austin students do not need to order transcripts directly from the UT registrar. This slows processing time.
  • International applicants will need to have completed official English translations provided with the original language records, if the transcript is written in a language other than English. Foreign transcripts may be requested to be returned by GIAC once the transcript has been electronically scanned.
