08.30.2006 Global Uni-Docs Corporation, located in Dallas, TX, was today awarded a Phase Zero grant at the DFW Life Science & Technology Fusion Forum held at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas. The Fusion Forum is supported by the Greater Dallas Chamber’s Technology Business Council and Tech Fort Worth. The goal of the Phase Zero program is to provide seed grants that assist emerging North Texas technology businesses to pursue high-quality, competitive SBIR/STTR proposals. At this forum GUD was recognized for it potential to bring improved authentication into the life sciences industry supply chain. David M. Shaw, President of Global Uni-Docs, stated that it was an honor to have the Fusion Forum recognize the company with this award and that “there are numerous federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, USDA, and others with active and pending SBIR announcements that deal specifically with information assurance and this award provides GUD the opportunity to prepare a competitive proposal that addresses these programs.” GUD’s technology is based on proprietary Content-Centric Security™ (CCS) authentication software. CCS has profound implications, systemically altering information security and authentication applications. CCS enables one to embed authentication procedures into electronic content. This disruptive approach enables companies to create unified audit trails and securely move data across organizational boundaries that historically have had interoperability problems. Since the content itself become “self-sufficient” in terms of its security and authentication requirements, the technology eliminates the need to maintain centralized infrastructure which separates authentication procedures from content, leaving data subject to manipulation and malware.
