09.17.2009 - The University of Texas at Austin to Host Micro Summit on Technology Commercialization

The University of Texas at Austin to Host
Micro Summit on Technology Commercialization

September 17, 2009

AUSTIN, Texas–Technology leaders within various industries are coming together for an exclusive meeting to discuss challenges, opportunities and the future of technology commercialization as it relates to Austin, the region and the global economy.

Influential technology directors who are looking for a forum on how to move beyond product iterations to true innovation will attend the micro summit. Technological innovation is key in reigniting the economy and creating wealth. Round table discussions will focus on topics of source, evaluation, time to market, strategy and skill development as each relates to technology commercialization.

The University of Texas at Austin’s M.S. in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) Program is poised to facilitate such a forum because it provides an unbiased setting and provides executives the opportunity to be truly transparent. The goal is for partnerships to be brokered with progress in mind and for technology leaders to share knowledge, exchange ideas and foster innovation. The University selected The Ginac Group to bring together Austin’s most influential thought leaders to participate in this micro summit.

In addition to hosting the micro summit, The University of Texas at Austin’s MSTC Program is also offering companies the opportunity to submit its technologies for assessment. By providing this opportunity, the MSTC Program hopes to assist these companies in speeding their time to market and in creating wealth to help boost Austin, the region and the economy out of recession.
