The Economic and Workforce Impacts of Hurricane Katrina and Ongoing Demographic Changes on the Space Shuttle Program (Summary Report), 2007
Two reports on the economic and workforce effects of Hurricane Katrina, aging workforce and related factors on NASA's Space Shuttle Program efforts along the Gulf Coast. The research was conducted by a joint team from the Ray Marshall Center and the IC² Institute and is based on field interviews, focus groups and surveys. The reports conclude with a series of recommendations for NASA, its contractors and others.

Accelerating Technology-Based Economic Growth in Greater Moncton, Report A, 2007 (Executive Summary)
This report provides select strategies for Moncton, Canada to take control of its economic destiny. The report emphasizes the importance of having common visions and action plans to mobilize key local partnerships.

M2M:  The Wireless Revolution, 2005
M2M is an acronym for Machine-to-Machine computing and both fourth generation and M2M involve networking physical, chemical, biological and neurological objects, systems and environments. Applications of M2M and fourth generation computing span virtually every industry and market. The report describes M2M technologies, identifies the emerging and promising markets, and identifies the resources Texas can draw upon to play a leading role in this increasingly competitive arena. In conjunction with TSTC. 

Austin’s Wireless Future, 2004
This report explores the near-term future of wireless – ubiquitous mobile voice and data communication, with focus on three categories of wireless services and products (existing cellular and PCS services and products; licensed radio spectrum wireless services and products, such as fixed broadband wireless; and unlicensed services and products, such as WiFi hotspots in cafes and airports). 

Gaming 2004
Gaming, A Technology Forecast:  Implications for Texas Community and Technical Colleges, Highlights of the forecast include predictions related to the global US$50 billion industry: acceleration of network gaming, fueled by next generation "super computer" gaming consoles, broadband, and wireless technologies; relations among gaming and 21st Century science (nano-bio-info-congo-enviro), design-related industries (industrial design, architecture, instructional design, aerospace, architecture), specialized industries that require transdisciplinary knowledge workers (robotics, IT security, national defense, and homeland security) and education; and San Antonio's academy model for innovation, education and economic development.  In conjunction with TSTC.

Belize, 2004
Knowledge-Base Benchmarking for Belize Education, Science & Technology (BEST) Park –IC² researchers visited Belize, the Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico), Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica,  and Trinidad & Tobago to research the feasibility for establishing a science park in Belize.  

ISTC Moscow, 2003
“ISTC 2012:  Towards Sustainable Global Security” presents a study prepared for the International Science and Technology Center in Moscow, Russia.  ISTC is an organization to facilitate commercial occupations for Russian scientists formerly working on weapons of mass destruction.  Appendix.   

Cameron County/Matamoros, 2003 
“Cameron County/Matamoros:  At the Crossroads” presents a study of the region where the gulf coast meets the U.S./Mexico border.   Cameron County (with Hidalgo County) leads the nation for “last place” in several poverty-related statistics.  This report addresses the assets and challenges of the region for knowledge-based economy growth. 

NanoBio Tech Corridor, 2003
“Catching the Next Wave in the Corridor” presents a study of  “The Convergence of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, and Information Technology and How the Temple-Austin-San Antonio Corridor Can Benefit.”

Clean Energy, 2002 
“Enriching Economy and Environment:  Making Central Texas the Center for Clean Energy” presents an overview of the potential of the clean energy industry in Central Texas. 

Waco, Texas, 2002
“Accelerating Technology-Based Economic Growth and Entrepreneurship in The Greater Waco Region” is a study prepared for the Greater Waco Technology Planning Group to assist in visioning a new economic future for Waco.  The Executive Summary, which is prepared as a stand-alone document is included in the main report, along with a section of supporting documents. 

San Angelo, Texas, 2002
“Accelerating Technology-Based Economic Growth in The Concho Valley,” is a study prepared for the City of San Angelo Development Corporation to provide a roadmap for accelerated regional development. 

Hidalgo County, Texas, 2001 
“Assets and Challenges for Accelerated Technology-Based Growth in Hidalgo County:  A Knowledge Bases Benchmarking” presents a county-wide assessment of Hidalgo County, Texas.  Hidalgo County is adjacent to Cameron County, and this region was further explored in the 2003 report. 

Adelaide Australia, 2001  Part A (presented to Adelaid Legislature)
“Quicklook” Assessment of Greater Adelaide’s Assets & Challenges for Accelerated Technology-Based Growth.”  In 2001, 20 graduates and students from IC² Institute’s MSSTC were invited to Adelaide, Australia where they conducted a “Quicklook” assessment.  Part B - Detailed report with supporting documents produced by the IC² Institute research group.
